how should we love? (a poem)

One day in school, it was raining and the classroom was so cold in Andrew so I've decided to go out and sit by the corridor window. That's when I suddenly remembered the story of The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. I opened my notes and started typing. When I finished my poem, I sent it to the people closest to me to give them a "poem of the day". Their feedbacks inspired me to continue writing proems.

I'm sharing this to you guys because it's my favorite original poem so far. Hope you guys like it!

I live for you to live

I always try to give

I breathe for you to breathe

I grow for you to grow

I fall apart for you to cheer up

and give you a beautiful life

I comfort you whenever you cry

as I stay by your side

I listen to your promises

I listen to your dreams

I listen to your wishes

and even your screams

I stay quiet whenever we argue

even if there's no point at all

I stayed where you left me

I didn't move at all

you cut me off from your life

and walked away from me

It's easy to leave me behind

Especially when you don't need me

I want you to be happy

I want you to be contented

to have all the things

that you ever wanted

I promise to do my best

to give my all

to provide your needs

until I fall

HOW TREES LOVE
